Holiday Meals Distributed in Clarion County
This holiday season many Clarion County residents were giving thanks for the donated meals on their tables. Through the generosity of Friends for Food and local donations, Community Action, Inc. provided assistance with Thanksgiving meals to 281 families comprised of 620 individuals and Christmas meals to 222 families comprised of 472 individuals. Holiday meal assistance included turkeys, hams, or gift certificates to purchase meal items. Local donors included: American Legion Post 66; Chartwells Dining Services of Clarion University; Clarion Chamber of Business & Industry (Food Stock); C-L Elementary School; C-L Student Council; Clarion Moose Lodge #101; Clarion University Athletic Department; Clarion University Eagle Ambassadors; Clarion University Bachelor of Science in Nursing Club; First United Presbyterian Church; Immaculate Conception Church; Kingsville United Methodist Church; Knights of Columbus; Pogo Pre-Owned Goods Outlet; William Penn Association; and many individual donors.
