Community Action, Inc. Names Clarion County
Senior Corps-RSVP March Volunteer of the Month |
|

Community Action, Inc. announced Katja Corbett of Clarion was selected to be the Clarion County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for March. Katja has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since December 2003 volunteering for Clarion Free Library. At the library she helps with checking out books and DVD’s, processing applications for library cards and e-mailing memorial donations to area newspapers. When asked why she volunteers Katja stated, "I love the people I work with and the patrons; I enjoy meeting new people and especially enjoy conversing with the college students. There is never a dull moment at the Library, there is always something going on.” When Katja is not volunteering, she enjoys reading, doing plastic canvas crafts, crocheting, spending time with her family and friends and writing to her International Pen Pal whom she has been exchanging letters with for twelve years. Katja is a member of the Clarion Civic Club and attends the First Baptist Church in Clarion. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Katja as a member. She depicts the true spirit of volunteering and is dedicated to making a difference in people's lives.
