Child Care information Services (CCIS) can help answer your questions!
Q: Where do I find child care facilities?
A: The CCIS provides information about the registered and certified child care
facilities in the area. Provider Lists can be customized for each family based
on hours and days care is needed, ages of children, special needs, location of
providers by school district and surrounding areas, etc. The CCIS can also
assist with the cost of child care for eligible families.

Q: How do I know what child care facility to choose?
A: CCIS staff will assist you in choosing a child care program that meets the
needs of your family. Information on how to choose child care can be found at:

Q: I really enjoy children. How do I open a child care
facility?
A: CCIS staff can refer anyone interested in operating a child care facility to
the appropriate regulatory agency. CCIS staff can also provide information on other programs that can provide
resources and technical assistance about opening a child care facility.
Q: Are there other services I may be eligible for?
A: Yes, CCIS staff can make referrals to other service organizations that may
be able to meet other needs a family may have.
Q: Are you a parent who is interested in what's happening in the child care community?
A: We invite you to share your experiences and ideas with Community Action, Inc's
Early Care and Education Project (ECE). The ECE Project is comprised of community members who are working together to address
child care issues in both Clarion and Jefferson counties. For more information, call Community Action,
