Community Action, Inc. Names Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP March Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Jack Price of Reynoldsville was selected to be the Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for March.

Jack has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since January 2008 volunteering for Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging’s Foundry Senior Social Center conducting basket weaving and leather working classes and assisting with home delivered meals and special events. Jack also serves on Boy Scouts of America-Bucktail Executive Council, and on Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP Advisory Council.

When asked why he volunteers, Jack stated, "I started volunteering as a child and have been volunteering all my life. If someone needs help, I am willing to help them. I enjoy helping others. There is a need for volunteers in every community and more people need to get involved in organizations."

When Jack is not volunteering he enjoys wood working, leather crafting, painting, photography, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He serves as the chair for the Indiana District of United Methodist Churches and attends the Reynoldsville First United Methodist Church.
