Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” Each year, Americans across the Country answer that question by coming together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities. This year Community Action, Inc. Senior Corps-RSVP volunteers in Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson Counties collected socks for homeless individuals and made lap robes for homebound residents.
Senior Corps-RSVP is one of the largest volunteer efforts in the nation. The local Project serves Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson Counties with over 500 volunteers age 55 and older. Community Action, Inc. is currently recruiting volunteers to become home delivered meal drivers, income tax preparers, Ombudsmans, and mitten makers.
If you are age 55 or over and interested in utilizing your skills and talents to improve our community and change people's lives, become a member of Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP.
